SUSS Library is delighted to introduce our new Interlibrary Loan service, available to all faculty, staff, and postgraduate students. This service allows you to request physical book(s) not available in SUSS Library from NUS, NTU, NIE and SMU.
Here’s a quick guide on how it works and what you need to know:
Submit a Request
Submit your request via the form.
1. What Items Can Be Requested?
You can only request physical book(s). Do take note that lending libraries have discretion over the books that can be loaned.
2. Fulfilment Timeframe
Submit your request at least five (5) working days before the required date.
3. Loan Period for Interlibrary Loan Items
The loan period depends on the lending library. You will be informed of the loan period when you receive the notification email to collect the book(s).
4. Notification for Item Collection
Once we process your request, you will receive an email from us to collect the book(s) from SUSS Library within three (3) working days.
5. Returning Interlibrary Loan Items
Return the book(s) to SUSS Library by the return date specified at the time of borrowing.
6. Service Fees
Faculty, staff, and postgraduate students need not pay for this service as SUSS Library will absorb the costs.
7. Damaged or Lost Items
Users are responsible for compensation or replacement of damaged or lost book(s). This includes overdue fines and any administrative fees as set by the lending library.
8. Overdue Charges
Overdue fines will be applied according to the lending library's policies.
